IPhone – a smart phone must to have to keep oneself up to date in today’s world. It has become more of thing to show off than a need. It is a great example of how the technology has evolved in the course of time. IPhone is marketed by apple and it has a dignified position in all over the world. The Apple iPhone has several applications that attract not only young generation but also these are very beneficial for business class people.  Apple itself is a reputed top brand among the top brands of cell phones out of which Samsung is its top competitor in the mobile world market.

The first iPhone was released in 2007 and the latest iPhone 5 is released in 2012. IPhone features a built-in camera and video options, and a web browsing capabilities as it has WI-Fi and cellular connectivity of 2G, 3G and 4G. It has a built in iTunes where one can listen music and download as per ones liking.

Also it has app store to download hundreds and thousands of applications of which some are free and some are paid. The app store has lots of games as well as many useful applications in daily utilities as weather report, clock with different fonts, magazines, novels, story books, news, etc. the touch and gesture features of the iPhone are based on technology by finger works. The only physical menu button is home button; it closes the active application and navigates to the home screen.

Out of the 5 buttons, second is the sleep/wake multifunction button on top of the iPhone. It controls phone calls, phone on/off mode. On the left of iPhones are the two volume increase decrease buttons. And the fifth button is the ring/silent which turns the phone in silent or ring mode.

There is 3.5 mm TRRS connector socket for headphone connectivity. The iPhone, iPod and iPad have an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is not user replaceable. It can be charged by connecting to a computer or by a USB to AC adapter connected through a cable to an AC outlet. Although the iPhone drains out fast but the salient features of the iPhone make it stand high in the queue of smart phones.

The IPhone has internal storage ranging from 4 GB, 8GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. It does not have a memory card slot to support expanded memory storage. The IPhone has a SIM card slot for which a SIM ejector tool is placed in eject hole to open it. IPhone, iPod and iPad run on iOS operating system. It supports all the applications by apple. IPhone is managed by connecting it to iTunes on a computer.

Messages, Calendar, Photos, Camera, YouTube, Stocks, Maps, Voice Calculator, Memos, Weather, Clock, Notes, Settings, App Store, (on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4) iTunes (store), Compass, Face Time, etc., all this is present in iPhone 5 by default. It has the capacity to pinch zoom, multi touch and drag and drop options too.
